Clarice studied Law in Sao Paolo and Passau. She then completed her internship with us in Munich in the Compliance division before joining us as a graduate trainee.

When I started my internship with HypoVereinsbank, I did not really know what to expect. What I then discovered and experienced came as a very positive surprise. During my six-month internship, I learned about many interesting and complex topics relating to compliance - from risk assessment to money laundering. This not only helped me to expand on what I had learned during my studies and make it more tangible, but also to find my professional path. 

The best thing, though, was working in my team: My colleagues’ patience and openness made me feel like I belonged and was a valuable member of the team right from the start. That is exactly why I applied for a position on the graduate program after earning my degree, and it worked out. I can only recommend that you give it a try and find out what suits you.

Gulshan completed his bachelor’s degree in India and then studied Quantitative Finance in Kiel. He joined us as a graduate trainee following his internship with us in Investment Banking Operations.

I had an exceptional internship experience in Investment Banking Operations - Regulatory Reporting at HypoVereinsbank that exceeded all my expectations. The company’s well-structured plan from day one made it clear what was expected of me and what goals I should be working towards. I was delighted to find that my manager and team were incredibly supportive, approachable, and open to questions and ideas. During the internship, I was involved in challenging and engaging projects that allowed me to explore various aspects of the business. 

I felt proud to make a meaningful impact by contributing my insights and ideas, and my team welcomed and valued my contributions. Amelie completed her six-month required internship with us in People & Culture as part of her bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration in People & Culture, followed by a working-student program in our Digital division.

My internship in Talent Acquisition was the perfect opportunity for me to put my knowledge from my studies into practice and really find out how HR works. During the six months of my internship, I was involved in many areas of HR, such as the recruitment and onboarding of trainees, that I also advanced independently. My colleagues trusted me right from the start. 

I was particularly impressed by the the bank’s open corporate culture, my colleagues’ willingness to help each other and the valuable tips my colleagues and managers gave me, that allowed me to further deepen and develop my skills in the HR area. I was also positively surprised by the bank as an employer in general. I was sceptical at first because banks often have a bit of a reputation as being old fashioned, but HypoVereinsbank is much more modern than you would think. 

Not only were we all on a first-name basis right from the start but I was also not required to adjust my clothing style. My personal highlight: By organising and running numerous in-house events, such as the Welcome Day, I was able to meet many interesting people and make contacts in different divisions of the bank. It gave me the opportunity to join the working-student program in the Digital Transformation division - another area that I was extremely interested in besides HR, and that I was able to get to know as a result.

Tajal completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree in India before coming to Bremen for another master’s degree. He completed an internship with us in Credit Analysis and was a working student in Digital.

Hey there, my name is Tajaldeep, and I have been fortunate enough to work as an intern at HVB in Munich. During my time here, I have had an amazing journey where I have learned so much about credit analysis and made a meaningful contribution to the bank’s multinational corporate division. My internship experience was fantastic, and I could not have asked for a better team to work with. They were incredibly supportive and helped me understand the importance of credit analysis and how it affects the bank’s clients. I also worked on some really challenging projects, which helped me grow and develop my skills. After completing my internship, I was thrilled to be offered a position as a working student in the area of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. 

It's been an exciting opportunity to be a part of the digital transformation that the bank is spearheading for its corporate clients. I've been working with a team of data scientists who are passionate about leveraging technology to create innovative solutions for our clients. We're developing models that help predict financial trends and analyzing data to help our clients make informed decisions. The transformation has been a challenge, but it's been an incredible opportunity to make a real impact on the way the bank operates and its clients. The department is at the forefront of the bank's digital transformation, and it's been amazing to be a part of this team. 

I've had the best colleagues who have been supportive and great mentors. In the end, I want to say that I'm grateful to HVB for this fantastic opportunity to learn and grow as a professional. It's an organization that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of its clients. I'm excited to see where my journey with the bank will take me in the future, and I know that my experience here will be invaluable as I continue to pursue my career in the financial services industry.
